Cake sizes & Serves
To choose the correct size cake for the number of guests you are feeding, see our guide below. Our slicing guide will give you an idea of how to best cut your cake!
Tiered cake sizes are based on servings of 1” square slices, these are referred to as Coffee slices. If you'd prefer larger slices, you'll need to increase the number of servings you tell us, so that your guests can be served Dessert slices.
LAYER CAKES are comprised of 2 or 3 layers of cake with our buttercream and fruit or fillings sandwiched between them. These are all the same size, per tier.
TIERED CAKES consist of multiple layer cakes of different sizes stacked on top of each other like a traditional wedding cake.
EXAMPLE: 5" 3-layer + 7" 3-layer + 9" 3-layer - Would be a 3-Tiered cake.
6” cake = 15cm diameter
6” single layer = 6-8 dessert slices / 10-12 coffee slices
6” double layer = 8-10 dessert slices / 12-20 coffee slices
6” triple layer = 10-14 dessert slices / 16-24 coffee slices
9” cake = 23cm diameter
9” single layer = 12-16 dessert slices / 16-24 coffee slices
9” double layer = 16-20 dessert slices / 20-30 coffee slices
9” triple layer = 20-24 dessert slices / 30-48 coffee slices
11” cake = 27.5cm diameter
11” single layer = 16-24 dessert slices / 24-30 coffee slices
11” double layer = 20-30 dessert slices / 28-44 coffee slices
11” triple layer = 26-34 dessert slices / 40-64 coffee slices
Tall cakes are difficult to cut into small wedges – using the coffee slice technique is a much simpler and neater way to cut your tall cake.
Pricing for tiered cakes starts at $260 for our smallest 5” + 7” cake and does not include flowers or any extra decoration.
