Sunday School Holiday Buttercream Basics (Beginner)

Suitable for 8–12-year-old girls and boys

Join us these school holidays for a fun and creative cupcake decorating class! Learn how to colour, pipe and decorate beautiful buttercream cupcakes using a variety of techniques, styles and piping tips.

Students will also be introduced to basic fondant skills, creating and painting their own edible unicorn horn topper to complete their cupcake designs.

Each student will receive six cupcakes to decorate and take home, learning a variety of buttercream piping techniques, fondant modelling and edible painting skills in a fun and supportive environment.

All tools, equipment and decorating materials are provided, making this the perfect introduction to cake decorating for young creatives.

Children's Classes

What age group are children's classes suitable for?

Our children's decorating classes are designed for children aged 10–14 years. Students should be comfortable working independently in a small group setting and following instructions without parental assistance.

Can parents stay during the class?

To encourage independence and minimise distractions, classes are designed for children to attend on their own. Parents and caregivers are welcome to return at the advertised finish time for collection.

What happens if I'm late collecting my child?

Please ensure your child is collected promptly at the scheduled finish time. Classes are often held outside our normal operating hours, and staff may have other commitments immediately following the class. If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible to avoid extra charges.

Do children need any decorating experience?

Not at all! Our classes are beginner-friendly, and we'll guide students through each decorating technique step-by-step.

What should my child bring?

Nothing at all. We provide all cupcakes, decorating materials, tools, packaging, and aprons required for the class.

Can dietary requirements be accommodated?

Please contact us before booking to discuss any dietary requirements or allergies, and we'll advise what options may be available.
